Grades 5-6 Physical Education
Students participate in physical education two times in a six day cycle in grades 4-6. During each class, students learn, exercise, and have fun. The philosophy is to expose students to a variety of games and activities so that they might be able to use this knowledge and skills in order to maintain lifelong physical activity.
Students are assessed in two categories using common rubrics developed by the Nazareth Area Intermediate School Heath and Physical Education Department. The two categories are movement analysis and knowledge. Activities and assessments are aligned to the Pennsylvania Standards for Health, Safety, and Physical Education. For more specific information about what students are learning at each grade level, please click the link.Click here for Fifth Grade Physical EducationClick here for Sixth Grade Physical Education
